Kayali has launched a total of 14 perfumes till date (as of 2023), out of which Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli is one of the realeases in 2022.

Kayali Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli – Detailed Review

It’s a boozy vanilla perfume with notes of sugared patchouli, golden rum, creme brulee and royal oud.

This perfume opens with the notes of golden rum and vanilla orchid with a hint of jasmine, making it boozy. Then it settles down to the spicyness with a little bit of creaminess and sweetness- not overly sweet though.

In the drydown, I get chocolate- which is not listed in the notes. I get a lot of sweetness because of the brown sugar and sugar notes here.

The perfume lasts long as it has patchouli, amber and a little bit of musk. The drydown of the perfumes to me smells like Bare Vanilla from Victoria’s Secret.

This perfume is underrated in comparison to Vanilla 28. Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli needs to be hyped as it is boozy, sexy, comforting, elegant and mysterious at the same time.

The scent bubble it creates can draw people in and chase you down the street. The projection is amazing, and the longevity is 10+ hours on my skin.

Which is better- Vanilla 28 or Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli 64?

To begin with, Vanilla 28 has been the go to scent for a lot of people I see on instagram and youtube. They love the DNA of Vanilla 28 as it smells like cake and is not overly sweet and gourmand.

Whereas, Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli is a bit sweet, boozy and sexy.

People’s preferances will vary from person to person, but if I had to choose any one, I would definately go for Kayali Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli 64.

This perfume is the elder, sexy sister of Vanilla 28, with spicyness, a little edgy and out there, mature and put together, atrractive as well.

Vanilla 28 is soft and feminine with elegance.

Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli – Notes

This perfume can be worn by women as well as men. Unlike the other Kayali fragrances, this one is unisex because of the spicyness in the fragrance.

The leather and rum note adds depth to the fragrance, which for a perfume is considered unisex.

This perfume lasts for days if sprayed on clothes.

The notes in this perfume is very luxurious and rare, for which this launch was a limited edition. I think this perfume is going to be a continuing perfume as they have it already in their stocks.

Perfume Wearability

This perfume is highly recomended for dates, and ideal especially for winter season.

As this perfume is the one that can make a statement, this can be occassion wear only and not your daily wear, signature scent worthy perfume.

This perfume is for special events, where you want to get noticed. Perfect for fall too, when the season is transitioning into winters. Can be for intimate settings too, as the drydown is a creamy chocolaty vanilla.

Is Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli a Safe Blind Buy?

Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli is an intense fragrance by Kayali, and should be tested before buying the full size 50ml or 100ml bottle.

Kayali also has travel size bottles as well as the minis that looks like their signature perfume bottles, so as to make their customers try it in a 10ml bottle before investing in the full size.

This perfume is not a safe blind buy, as everyone’s taste is different. If you are a sucker of vanilla fragrances, you’ll love it because it has the right amount of sweetness and spicyness.

But if you love very light vanilla note in a perfume, then you may need to sample it first, and then go for the full size.

Conclusion

Kayali Vanilla Royal Sugared Patchouli is a complex perfume and is the elder sexy sister of Vanilla 28.

Therefore, if you want something boozy, sexy, unique and mysterious with vanilla note, this is the one you can gravitate towards.

Sweet, dark with the leathery notes and rum and spices, the perfect blend of vanilla with the unique notes in a perfume done right.

The patchouli is not as the typical strong patchouli, but a soft sugared patchouli which is really pleasing. I honestly don’t like patchouli, but this- this is a masterpiece.

Definately gonna buy a 50ml bottle of this, since I have tried the 10ml mini bottle.
