Introduction

Victoria’s Secret is a very well known brand when it comes to fashion and fragrances. Everything they come out with are luxe, including their fragrances. They came up with a fragrance called Bombshell Intense, which comes in 3 variants – perfume, fine fragrance mist and body lotions.

In this article, we’ll be covering every detail of this fragrance, including the FAQ’s.

Initial Impression & Packaging

I have never bought any of the perfumes from Victoria’s Secret, but I have tried some of their fragrance mists and was pretty impressed by it. So I thought to try one of their perfumes and was pretty excited about Bombshell Intense as the bottle was pretty and also it has the vanilla, peony and cherry note in it.

I bought the fragrance and the packaging was amazing. The perfume box was of red color and the bottle seemed luxe.

The bottle comes in red color, with an ombre like effect going on towards the bottom. The bottle cap was not upto my mark. There was the OG Victoria’s Secret ribbon in red beneath the cap which I loved. The packaging looks seductive and alluring.

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Intense Review

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Intense starts with the opening of a bit alchoholy note and then slowly appears the peony and cherries. The cherries here are not the smooth cherries, rather the sour cherries – not too sour though!

The cherry note that I get here is synthetic and I don’t get too much of the smooth well-blended cherries here. The cherries I get are sour, which I don’t like. This fragrance has a men’s cologne vibe, you know, a bit fresh yet the perfect amount of sweetness.

In the dry down, you get the vanilla along with some smooth muskiness and sweetness.

Musk (I get this in the drydown even though it’s not listed)

Projection and Longevity

When it comes to performance, I would rate this perfume a 4/10. Not impressed by the longevity. Projection is medium to low, which again is a down side.

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Intense was supposed to be a stronger version of the original, but it failed everyone’s expectations. It’s not long lasting or good projection fragrance, rather just a body mist type of fragrance.

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Intense vs Bombshell

VS Bombshell is a fresh fruity-floral fragrance whereas Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Intense is a fresh cherry fragrance with fresh vanilla, not a sweet and creamy vanilla. The longevity of Bombshell is far better than Bombshell Intense.

Would I repurchase it?

No, this fragrance did not catch my soul, and it’s not unique in my opinion. I would therefore not repurchase this frgarance. Also, this is not a fragrance that should be blind bought because it’s quite expensive and the performance of the fragrance and the fragrance itself is somewhat confusing.

Honest Conclusion

I personally did not enjoy this fragrance because the cherry here comes off as soury, whereas I like cherry fragrances that are smooth. The fragrance should have made in a way that the fragrance looks and smells like the intense version of the original. But instead, it did the EDT version of the fragrance, that too in a very sticky plasticky way that I didn’t like.

Definately not a blind buy, try it in stores or sample it, then see how you feel about that fragrance. And if you like it, buy this fragrance, otherwise this is not a safe blind buy!
